The conspiracy theorist in me says that both the vikings and the Lions win this week setting up a winner take all showdown for the division and the number 1 seed in the NFC. That would fit the NFL narrative although it is in the NFC North which the NFL could give two shits about up until this year. Too bad it is between two NFC North teams and not two NFC East teams. All emotions can be traced back to two basic ones........love and fear.

Fortunately, we get a warm-up game. Cowboys, on a roll but without CeeDee Lamb, face the Eagles without Jalen Hurts. It will be an interesting game, and it will have modest playoff implications, but I can’t root for the Cowboys or the Eagles.
Similarly, I will be watching GRB-MIN with interest, but not with a favored outcome.Evil Parallel Universe Lions fans: You will believe in NOW! Comply or suffer the consequences.

A packers win with some minor season ending injuries to both teams would be my favored outcome.I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on

Pains me to say this, but I think the Vikings take care of business on Sunday, setting up the winner take all showdown.
(And then I’ll listen to the football nerds say why they still think the Packers are the best team in the NFC despite going o-4 against their two division rivals.)
