I do think the offense put the team behind early. But the defense was hot garbage. Backup LB tip or Allen chest pass TD away from a much more embarrassing score.
Can Ben Johnson call a defense - because his side looked ready in a bunch of situations.
Late game even vs prevent they moved like a team that is well coached as time ticked. Bills mixed it up, but Detroit looked competent.
Glenn got roasted by Ty Johnson. No picks, no fumbles, and no sacks. The third and long / fourth down plays Glenn gave it up in chunks.
Ben Johnson's side is healthy. A lot of teams do not sack Josh Allen. He is terrifying when he is on
The defense played beyond just an off day. I mean, 9 yards a play on defense. 362 passing, 197 rushing. It reminded me of those Bronco offenses in the late 90's when they could do anything they wanted on offense and no one can stop them.
But this is the first time it's been like that. The Packers scored 31 but they only had 300 yards total
This was an old fashioned shootout and the Lions offense didn't wake up until the second quarter. Combine that with the missed field goal at the end of the half and the St. Brown fumble and it created an insurmountable climb.
I agree. The offense had to be perfect. And was far from it. The defense didn't exist. Both lines got punkede. The inability to run the last couple of games is concerning.

On offense, the offensive line just got their assed kicked. Nothing more than that.
It's definitely the injuries for the defense.
The scheme doesn't help though. The Lions play more man coverage than any other team, it is hard to defend Josh Allen with man coverage and they didn't go to much zone. But again the injuries prevent a team from making different scheme adjustments. If you throw a bunch of strangers together to play zone you are bound to get multiple missed assignments. Although considering the result, it probably couldn't have been worse.
I kind of wondered why the lions did not pressure more. You would give up some big plays. But they were giving those up not getting home. I don't think Josh Allen really put many footballs into harms way. Bills were open and catching footballs.
Run D was off as well. Third downs were rare. I know they forced one punt. Did that only happen once? Fans did not have much to get loud for.
I was surprised as well. After thinking about it it made sense. This defense wasn't going to stop Allen yesterday. Going for it that early is the kind of out of the box thinking I LOVE about Campbell. Screw the "old boys" handbook of proper game management and etiquette. He doesn't care. He's not afraid to take the heat, and he will for this. I LOVE it. We have a coach who doesn't play by the rules and again, I LOVE IT!! Other coaches are concerned. You could see it in Lefleur's face last week. It certainly doesn't make him an idiot.
It's far from over. Just need Chemic not to watch the rest of the game.
I'm taking bets on how many times chemic tells us he's done watching next week. I think they're going to have a good week next week so I'm going with 1.
I kind of feel like the Bills emptied the playbook today.
Me too. We need to finish the season strong, get the bye week, and get some players back for the playoff run. The defense is running out of horses and mirrors.

I said it once (maybe twice if you want to include a "yeah, if this keeps up, I'm checking out" post. Again, I've reached the point where I'm not going to let myself get angry watching this team, so when they come out of the gate stinking it up, I walk away. I'll still poke my head into game threads or occasionally get score updates, but yeah, when I say I'm done watching, I'm done watching.

Once. Ya right. It's not just this week. Just an observation. Say whatever you want. I find it funny you feel compelled to tell us every time.
