What you mean? Minnesota has some tough games down the stretch and they hadn’t looked dominant since week 5. They struggle against teams with good OL’s and got exposed defensively against the Cardinals. The Lions can beat them.

        • The downside is that was a horrendous defensive display.

The upside is I feel like that’s about as bad as they could play and they lost to the best offense other than them by six points.

              • The defense broke today. There were signs of it in the prior two games vs Chicago and GB. The Lions defense played very well in the 1st half. Then it completely fell apart in the 2nd half in those two games. Compared to today, the defense simply was a no-show.

The defense has me concerned about getting the valuable #1 seed. Need to bounce back vs Chicago and calm our concerns.

Close onside kick. Considering all of the other NFL onside kicks I’ve seen this year, that was a quality try.

                • Josh Allen was suppose to have an off day after playing GOAT type football the last couple weeks. Wasnt he ??

                  • The offense didn't do their part either. I mean the final stats are good only because of playing typical catch up football. But they had to get off to a big lead early and didn't.

They weren't that great to begin with. Very good if they didn't lose the studs along the d' line but let's be real about how bad they were last year and how the two safties have saved them this year.

The.Packers scored 31 with two short fields. The Lions aren't going to win 14-13 defensive slugfests with this defense but Goff is not going to have to put up 49 points to win like you were saying.

                          • Counterpoint: this will definitely be the worst defensive game they had. Some guys will come back, some of the guys who came back will shake off some of the rust. Some of the new guys will get more acclimated. The defense in the first half of the season was one of the tops in the league, it won't be now but Josh Allen is on a heater. Let's see him again in February.

                            • I do think the offense put the team behind early. But the defense was hot garbage. Backup LB tip or Allen chest pass TD away from a much more embarrassing score.

Can Ben Johnson call a defense - because his side looked ready in a bunch of situations.

Late game even vs prevent they moved like a team that is well coached as time ticked. Bills mixed it up, but Detroit looked competent.

Glenn got roasted by Ty Johnson. No picks, no fumbles, and no sacks. The third and long / fourth down plays Glenn gave it up in chunks.

I don't mean specifically that Goff needs to throw 5 TDs and win 49-48. But he's going to need to play his best ball the rest of the way. A Jared Goff off-night is probably curtains for this team's season if it happens in the playoffs if this defense continues to play like this. A Texans-like comeback isn't in the cards at this point.
