On that play Patrick said they told him, you're the second option so get open and he got open.

Campbell and crew have reversed the perception that the lions suck and must have done something wrong... Now the packers perceive like the lions used to perceive and bitch and moan about it. Kudos for the culture change and winning. Good teams do get the benefit of the doubt, it's just human nature on the referees part.

Ben Johnson used the Lions failed fourth down attempt to set up David Montgomery’s fourth down conversion. We break down the build-up to the game-clinching moment here:

That seems to be the refs MO. You saw an example of it when they flagged the Packers for OPI earlier in the game. They only threw the flag on Watson after the guy he freed up caught the ball. If that ball hadn't gone to Jacobs, they never throw that flag.

Was driving home late last night after the game and some random national sports show was on the radio. And a Packers fan called in and said that LaFleur is a coach built to lose NFC Championship games, basically because in the tight situations he's going to be risk averse. Said that's why he and Rodgers were such a good match, the perfect pair to lose in the playoffs every year.

I don’t know if that’s backed up by the data, but it was interesting to hear that take on a guy that is a pretty damn good coach, even if he’s a pretty boy.

He's a whiny assed bitch. Did he go to Ohio State by any chance?

He's a Michigan guy - from Mt Pleasant, played at WMU and SVSU.

I was watching the game with a friend of mine who's a coach in Michigan. My friend said the people he knows that know or have interacted with LaFleur say he's pretty much the arrogant dick he appears to be on TV, sort of always has been.

If the Packers are going to key on Amon-Ra all game and make Goff use Patrick, LaPorta, Jamo, and Gibbs, then make sure Quay knows exactly where to run to avoid the ball.

Matt LaFleur is certainly on the extreme side when it comes to whining to the refs.

Perhaps it could be part of the reason why the Lions have been on the side of more favorable calls when compared to their history. A Lions history that should be described as torture and bullshit when it comes to officiating prior to this era. Campbell doesn’t act like a little bitch to the refs and comes across as very likable. Well, plus the coaching in Detroit is better than ever.

Excluding the Dallas game last season when Campbell and everyone had a right to be pissed off at the refs about the blown call on the 2 point conversion.

Good: Gutsy division win when needed most - as Campbell stated..this is already playoff football. Clinched a playoff spot, maintaining the hope for #1 seed
Bad: Mcneill injury - but we have now 10 days to rest up and hopefully get some injured players back

Nothing ugly to report this week. Lets see if Minny or Philadelphia can LOSE please. Reasons to watch on CALM Sunday.

Every home game from here on out Lions fans need to load up the seats behind the GB bench and heckle the crap out of LaFleur so that he can't see straight.

I'd heard so much about it that I had to check it out for myself. I went to the Packers subreddit and it was a definite yikes. I mean, I understand that fans get upset at losing, but it just seems worse than what I'm used to seeing. They are definitely coming to emotional grips with the fact that the Lions are just the better team and organization.

When my brother-in-law played at CMU LaFleur hung around the practices as a snot nosed teenager. He didn't say anything bad about him though.

I didn't see any spots yesterday where conservatism doomed him. He's a good coach and all GB coaches are whiny about the refs. Working the refs is in the GB coaches manual on page 1.
