The Packers are better than you think. Love can be pretty good if he stops Favre-ing it.

Well, part of what makes Love so dangerous is his Favre-ing it. His willingness to attempt throws that the rank and file think is reckless is part of what makes the Green Bay offense so hard to stop at times. And sure... it's also part of the reason why they are so mercurial at others.

Yeah, his YOLO style is dangerous - for both teams.

Depth on the D line is a big concern right now. Those guys can’t play every snap, and the quality of players rotating in is big step down from what it was to start the season. Offense needs to minimize the 3 and outs to keep the defense fresh, now more than ever.

With a bamged up defense and decker out this could be a loss which is ok.

The offense is jekyll and Hyde without decker.

No, not ok. We can afford exactly one loss down the stretch, and that one loss can be literally any game but this one.
"Yeah, we just... we don't want them to go. So that's our motivation."

Just can't have a repeat of last year when the Packers set the tone right away with a long pass completion that led to a TD and I think 3 turnovers from Goff.

One of those turnovers was a terrible call that the Packers returned for a touchdown.

I'm not saying that the Packers aren't good.

I'm just saying that if Dan Campbell and Company have enough time, and enough healthy bodies (impossible at this time of year), that I'll take my chances against Green Bay.

I almost wished that the game this Thursday would be in Green Bay, since a Dan Campbell led team has won 3 straight times at Lambeau.

‘The race is on:' As calendar turns to December, Lions prepared for divisional war

                      Paywall article from yesterday.

                      Nolan Bianchi
                      The Detroit News

Allen Park — It’s officially December.

Historically, this was the time of year where the Detroit Lions’ wins and losses were discussed in the context of how it affects their first-round draft position. But in the new era of Lions football, this is where the race truly begins.

Detroit is 11-1 — its best start in franchise history — entering Week 14, where a meeting with the Green Bay Packers (9-3) awaits on Thursday Night Football. Lions coach Dan Campbell entered the media room on Sunday just moments after the Minnesota Vikings pulled off another victory to reach a record of 10-2 and spoke on his enthusiasm for December football.

For most of the season, Campbell said, “your head’s down and you’re just going.” But once that calendar flips to December, it’s game on.

“You start going and I think once you hit December, it’s hard not to start to begin to look up a little bit, and I mean that in a good way,” Campbell said. “You can start to smell the playoffs a little bit. You can start to see what’s in front of you, what’s at stake.”

Entering Week 13, NFL’s playoff probabilities gave the Lions a greater than 99% chance to make the postseason. They even had a chance to clinch by the end of the week, had everything gone their way. With the Seattle Seahawks pulling out a win, it appears the clinch will have to wait at least another week.

But the NFC North race, which has only gotten hotter with each passing week, is just beginning — and may very well go until Week 18, when the Lions conclude their regular season with a home game against Minnesota. Detroit is 3-0 in divisional games thus far.

“I think it just gives you a little bit of — I don’t know, man — excitement. It’s exciting and it’s competitive and it’s just — I mean, it’s why you’re in this business,” Campbell said. “Like, I know Minnesota just won, it’s really awesome. The race is on and it’s just good. This is top-tier stuff, and it’s for the best of the best and this thing’s going to go down to the wire.

“We just have to worry about winning the one in front of us.”

Detroit won its first meeting with Green Bay in Week 9, 24-14.

Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs might be in some hot water with Campbell after posting a video to social media that featured proprietary information from the Lions' offense and was leaked to a wider audience.

Prior to Detroit's game against the Bears on Thanksgiving, a photo of Lions running back Jermar Jefferson began to circulate on Reddit (a popular social media website). In the background was a whiteboard containing what appears to be pass-protection calls from Detroit's offense. It appears the original photo was posted on Snapchat, another social media site.

Campbell was asked about the post on Saturday and said he wasn't aware of it.

"Who was that?" Campbell said in response to a question about the post.

He continued, "Oh, I didn't know that. I did not know that. OK. Yeah, I need to check on that then. I did not know that. Yeah, I'd rather our stuff not be out there."

The response from Campbell only threw more fire on the flames, as the story then began to circulate on other social-media websites, namely X (formerly Twitter).

On Sunday, Campbell was asked about having to change the gameplan based on the leak.

                      "No comment," he said.

The proverbial "trap" game seems to be there every week but somehow we've avoided it. Cant really call this a trap game because we are very banged up on the D line. Offense is going to have to step up big time. Cant really be thinking about seeding right now. Get this win and some time off to heal up.

Do we know officially that Decker is out?

Our division is crazy. The Packers are 9-3. In most divisions that would be 1st place. In a couple, that would be 2nd. In our division they are 3rd.

No way Det is 6th best in NFC. They outplayed tampa in every non RZ statistic. Just didn't come away with the points.
