  • GBU - Jaguars @ Lions

Did I miss an existing thread on this or did no one else want to summarize?

G - Blowout win, offense stepped up
    B - Jacksonville
U - Anzalone Injury. This game, like Dallas was a party until he got hurt.

Encouraging: next two games. Certainly can't overlook @Colts or Turkey day against the Bears, but 11-1 is looking like a very real possibility.
    Got Kneecaps?

    Anzalone Anzalone Anzalone

That's the only big issue from the game.

These injuries are stacking up on defense.

Anzalone being hurt sucks, but LB is the one spot where we can truly absorb injuries. Jack and Rodrigo can hold it down when we get into true nickels, although MCDC likes to go big with 3 LBs even against 11 personnel. But Nowaske and Niemann are both looking pretty good, maybe a bit of a dropoff from how Thor has been playing, but the N's aren't exactly replacement level. Or maybe they actually are and we just have elite coaching. I don't know. I see guys off the PS stepping in and looking like really solid players, very well coached.

Any word on JRM? Is he long-term IR or "ready to go immediately after 4 weeks" IR?

Greatness: The 2024 Detroit Lions Lombardi bound team & everyone associated. 9-1 leading up to all of your turkey day festivities is unheard of. It must be great to feel proud for all you homegrown Leos.

Bad: Anzalone injury. The football Gods are trying their best to create flaws on the path to NFL Glory.

Ugly: Bears missing the FG......., because fk those fudge-packers. Seems they STILL get lucky even with Erin out of the building.

Meh, that should have been the mother of all penalties on that FG kick.
They literally shoved the long snapper 2 yards into his own backfield.
They have been cracking down on that for decades, so it "should" have been a no-brainer.

Yep, that is my point . DanO-Boy --->>> they cheated and got away with it. Lucky bstds. ......, Lions get so many flags they could open a "Small Yellow Flag" shop.

The Lions got killed in punting . 267yds to zero.

The Lions need to correct that.
