If Jameson Williams doesn't flatten out that route, I'm not sure it is a 50/50 ball

(U)nbelievable: If you told me at halftime that Goff would throw a couple more picks in the second half, but the Lions would still win, I would not have believed you.
I couldn't take it either so I bailed early, but I didn't even bother to DVR it. Didn't see the point. I'm watching the replay on NFL Network right now and it's a stress-free watch.
A Bengals fan since the late '70s and a Lions fan since the mid-'80s. You could say misery is my beverage of choice.

Absolutely agree that it wasn't meant to be a 50/50 ball. I also feel that had Goff anticipated better and let it loose sooner, JaMo had his man beat. I'm not giving Goff a pass on that play, either, because if either of them had played it just a little differently, that doesn't end in a pick.

Don't get me twisted, you're not wrong, but Goff played that entire game a beat slow. Whether because of pressure, or an off night, or whatever, he was not particularly sharp.

But hey, they don't give extra wins for margin of victory.

I thought Goff needed to throw it outside towards the sideline, If Jamo kept it vertical that ball would have come up well short rather than just behind.

There was definitely some wavering in my section in the first half. Every time someone tried to start a “Jared Goff” chant, the Texan fans would add on “Sucks!” to the end. The Texan fans sitting next to me apologized, but I told them “Honestly? I appreciate the plot twist.”

3rd quarter you could feel the momentum change. Texans seemed almost afraid to put the game in Strouds arm after the opening int. Stroud’s second int, I swear the whole stadium saw Tank Dell open for about 5 seconds before Stroud finally let it loose.

By the 4th, Texan fans seemed to have that familiar “just trying to hold” on feeling that us Lions fans know oh so well.

Leaving the stadium after the game, it definitely didn’t feel like the home team lost. There was so much blue in the hallway and down the exit ramps, it was crazy.

And in the airport this morning, every gate I passed was full of people wearing Lions gear.

Williams did make a couple of big catches and took some big shots. I’m amazed he’s as physical as he is. Because he’s a burner and somewhat thin, I keep thinking he’s going to turtle in most situations but he holds on to balls and he blocks for the RBs.

JaMo is definitely trying to prove to the Lions he's worth their investment... at least, on the field.

Off the field... well, that's the big question.
