Sunday Night Prime Time game! Damn that's a long time to wait.

This game had me worried when I saw the schedule. Last year's Texans were a formidable team, but their offensive line woes have brought C J Stroud back to earth. Hopefully we'll get enough pressure to make him uncomfortable.

Our plane down was half Lions fans. Bar at the barbecue joint last night was full ofLions fans. We will be representing strong at NRG tonight.

Good matchup. Houston is very good against the run and the pass. I think they have one of the better defenses in the league but this Texans team has been inconsistent at times until the point I think they’re suspect but there’s a reason why they are at least considered a playoff team and depending who you ask maybe even a Superbowl contender. I’m not sold on them being championship contenders but they ain’t terrible but I feel they are a bit fraudulent. The only good team they beaten was Buffalo and they have struggled to win in all their games. Houston just lost to one of the worst teams last week.

The Texans OL is very questionable vs our questionable pass rush. I don’t see this being a blowout. Running the ball will be critical against them tonight. Decker being out kind of concerns me. Hopefully Dan Skipper can hold up because we could have a weakness on that blindside of the OL the Texans could exploit.

I’ll take the Lions in a close one but Houston will keep this close than most people think. This will definitely be a statement game. 27-20 Lions

Similar vibes as the @ Minnesota game a few weeks ago… therefore, I suspect it’s a close one in the end. I like our chances if Collins is out. Then you would have Stroud without his #1 and #2 WRs. That is kinda offset by not having Taylor Decker for the Lions.

Collins is expected to play but we should be able to pressure Stroud heavily because that Texans OL is Swiss cheese. On the flip side Dan Skipper is going to have to play out of his mind because the Texans are a blitz heavy team and Ryans is one of the best defensive minds in the league right now. Skipper has to hold up. Will Anderson bring out is massive but they have dudes that can get to the QB.

They’re SB contenders now and everyone and their dug are booking flights to games.
