An absolutely beautiful signature win.
The Lions looked like the home team. MCDC with his laminated playsheet on his fishing hook, flapping in the breeze as he focussed on us suffocating Green Bay AGAIN.
For you older heads - winning THREE in a row at Lambeau must be insane after we went nearly 25 years with no wins, including at the time of prime Barry.
That's exactly the kind of win I wanted. Less is more, simple bullyball. We are going to push you around, execute like a well coached team and there is NOTHING you can do about it.
G: Goff. Played within himself. Felt the rush when he dirted the ball as a blind side fresh rusher was about to light him up, SOLD the false start on 4th and 6 so well (normally QB's try and do TOO much with their stomping and screaming - this was executed to absolute perfection).
B: This NFL mission creep trying to remotely introduce college targeting rules. Get the fuck out of here.
U: Jordan Love's footwork.

It could be worse, like the Steven Ruiz QB rankings. That shit is performance art

Good: The win @ Lambeau is absolutely clutch. Elevates us to 1st place in the division
Bad: The Jordan Love INT...bad choice, good for us...
Ugly: The Branch ejection. If there were multiple hits, I'd get it. Clete had to put his mark on this game.
Better: The schedule now eases up a bit Texans, Jags, Colts. There is every chance we get to 10-1Got Kneecaps?

Yeah, I noticed at the time that the Packers home cooking really wasn't there. Part of that I'd argue is that the stigma on the Lions has changed. They are now one of the "elite" teams. They are a genuine contender. Those reputation calls that are such a vital element of the Packers home cooking didn't happen.

I like the Ringer web site and I'll listen to some of their pods, but if he is on a pod and they talk Lions, he poisons the conversation with these irrational comments. He can't emotionally concede anything.

Goff was young in the Superbowl, Brian Flores had him in a blender. But as we've seen, the Flores scheme isn't as effective against Goff now. One of the golden rules of football is reps matter, the more practice reps and game reps you get at QB, the better you can process.
Ruiz and a lot of folks are suffering from a thing called and Anchoring Effect. Basically in laymans terms, your first impression of something anchors your opinion and it clouds your judgment.

And you know what, if Belichick is the one guy you can't beat, that's not actually saying anything bad about you. Just like Carol is the one coach MCDC can't beat. But both guys are in their 70s, and coaches who already have been to the mountaintop rarely do anything when they go to another team. Just look at Doug Pederson, Jimmy Johnson, Seifert, Gruden, Joe Gibbs returned to the Redskins but it was a different team and different era. Mike Holmgren is the only coach I can think of that even came close to a second mountaintop.
