Thanks Deb!!!! I can't for the life of me understand how Branch got ejected from the Lions game and yet no ejection from this play which seems worse. I shouldn't dwell on this and enjoy the Lions win, but the inconsistency of the NFL regarding these decisions frustrate me, specially when it comes from the NFL review in NY.

The NFL would probably argue that this was at least a play on the ball, whereas they specifically said Branch had time to pull up after the ball went by. But Poyer launched himself right into Coleman’s chin.

Seems weird that Barry or Chris Johnson or somebody hadn’t accomplished this before. But oh well, more Lions history making!

                        PFF is useless.

Goff is only about 10 points better than Love?

I don't follow PFF closely, but I've seen posts from people who do say that the QB ratings aren't very good, but the lineman ratings are. Other positions are decent.

FWIW, Jack Campbell is the PFF 3rd rated LB in the league since week 3. 9th on the full season.

Honestly, I agree with the NFL that BB's was worse in that he did have a split-second to keep his head up once the ball was past the receiver and he lowered it. The Buffalo hit came when the ball was still in the receiver's hands.

Getting ejected for that split-second mistake is ridiculous. I've no problem with the flag and maybe even a fine. Ejection/suspension should only come when a player is a repeat offender.

It does feel like the NFL is punishing the Lions for being the Lions once again.

I like PFF, the ratings are useful but like all metrics they are going to have deficiencies. They go through and grind the tape, it's not like there are other services who do that. The fact that NFL teams pay for PFF's private data shows you it has value.

It could be worse, like the Steven Ruiz QB rankings. That shit is performance art
