  • Week 9: Lions (-3.5) at Lambeau, Home of the Pedophiles

Favre, Rodgers, Love, or Wilis, who cares? It's the same smell. The Lions better win and spoil all the hopes and dreams that Packers fans, even the young fans, have.

34-18 and it won't be that close

By the way, The Forum Needs Some V!agra or Something. Is there no game week convo going yet, or did it fall so far down that my ADD wouldn't let me scroll that long?

The Lions are going to get the Pack's best shot. They aren't going to want to lose in Lambeau three years in a row. The refs are gonna have that home cooking piping hot as well.

Win or lose, it's gonna be close.

      Lions 24
      Packers 20
      Lions -3.5

Brian Branch game ceiling INT as the Packers are driving for a go ahead TD. Might as well keep thinking the Lions will win while they’re hot. Though as we have seen in 2022 (at Panthers) and 2023 (at Ravens), be mindful of the random stinker. Please make it a different week. Also, this Lions team is just much better than years past.

I was invited to go to this game like last year, but sadly had traveling plans. If it was any other weekend…. Would have been fun! Going to miss the cheese curds, ranch, and Miller Lite combo.

It's gonna be a lot closer than we think. Clete Blakemans crew is officiating so the home cooking is very much in play.
All emotions can be traced back to two basic ones........love and fear.

Clete fucking Blakeman. They get Carl Cheffers for a game that wasn't going to be close, but Bateman for an important game.

Not only that but the Packers already lost a division game. Losing this at home, none the less, and they would already be down in a competitive division 0-2

The line is what it is because of the Love injury. That’s probably 1.5 if he was healthy and for sure playing.

I'm hoping LOVE plays as opposed to Willis. LOVE takes chances with the ball and we are primed to take a few from him. Willis will be much more cautious.

Holy shit, I thought us Hibs fans were tough on the Jambofuckwit Hearts cunts with thread titles......., BUT THIS......., this is whole new level stuff.

Is this game a sort of "judge game" ...., meaning, if the mighty Leos win, then the SB is a legit goal? Or has that long past and everyone and their mutts knows THIS is the season of cardboard cut out, kitchen foil wrapped Lombardis?

NFL Week 9: Lions vs. Packers Set for Controversial Officiating Reunion

NFL fans, particularly those rooting for the Detroit Lions, remember well the infamous October 14, 2019, game against the Green Bay Packers. The Lions entered the game with a promising record, yet fell to a controversial 23-22 loss, largely attributed to questionable calls by referee Clete Blakeman’s officiating crew. Now, as the Lions and Packers prepare for their Week 9 matchup, Blakeman’s crew will once again be overseeing the game, sparking concern among Detroit’s fanbase.

A Painful Memory Resurfaces for Lions Fans
That 2019 game is remembered for two contentious “illegal hands to the face” penalties called on Lions defensive end Trey Flowers, each coming at a crucial moment. These penalties allowed the Packers to maintain possession and set up their game-winning field goal. The loss was a significant blow to the Lions’ season, and fans argue that poor officiating played a key role in stalling their promising start.

Clete Blakeman’s History with Controversial Calls
Blakeman’s reputation among Lions fans remains fraught, and his high rate of call overrulings compared to other referees only fuels suspicions. Although the specific official responsible for those 2019 calls is no longer part of Blakeman’s crew, concerns linger about the fairness of officiating under his supervision, especially in a game with major implications for the NFC North standings.

A Critical Game Amid Heightened Scrutiny
For Lions fans, Blakeman’s assignment feels like déjà vu. In the midst of an impressive season, Detroit heads into Week 9 determined to maintain momentum, while Green Bay seeks to rebound. Both teams are aware that a cleanly officiated game will be crucial, especially as they vie for an edge in the competitive NFC North division. Blakeman’s presence, however, keeps fans on edge, hoping past officiating errors aren’t repeated.

Lions vs. Packers: Can the Officiating Crew Deliver Fair Play?
The Lions and Packers matchup is expected to be a hard-fought game with major stakes. While Detroit fans brace themselves, there’s cautious optimism for a fair game. Whether this officiating crew can deliver a balanced and controversy-free performance remains to be seen, but both teams – and their fans – will certainly be watching closely.
