  • GBU: Viking game

You ham and eggers forget to start these threads after a game,.do your job

Good: Goff with another great game
    Gibbs with a great game
The Slot Merchant with a great game
    Bates with the clutch kick
Tim Patrick has for in seamlessly

    Bad: The Montgomery fumble
Clay Martin games, the dude's crew calls way too many penalties. There were a couple false starts where you saw no flinches.

    Ugly: no ugly

Good - tough gritty win on the road against a division rival. UFL Jake Bates clutch when we needed him.
Bad - nearly letting the game get away from them at the end
Ugly - Gambling Dan going for it on 4th and 7 on their own 33 yard line and blowing it

Great - End game clock management. Of the highest order.
Good - Goff/St. Brown on that final drive. That hookup was magic - as tight of a window as you'll see and St. Brown with velcro hands between two defenders with bad intentions.
Bad - Decker. Guy got beat like a drum in the 2nd half. Kinda reminded me of Backus there.
Ugly - The look on the Vikings OC face when Darnold got to the sidelines - was like "why the fuck didn't you throw the ball to the wide open receiver" Lions gain, and it turned out to be what they'd need to steal one in hostile territory.

Good: win on the road in your division ... no matter how

Bad. : checking out all the other teams (only losing sides) game threads and all the teams that aren't doing well offensively all are doing the usual fire the OC and head coach. But they all want Ben Johnson.

Just on the 49er's board and half the posts are We Want Ben! .. kind of scary.

@Deborah, please merge both GBU threads.

I'm in agreement with Froot on the GBU.

We need another 2-3 defensive players before the trade deadline.

In addition. O line was good enough and the D line was good enough to beat a really good team in their house. No need to make a panic move

I mean they aren't getting 2-3 defensive players at the deadline. That has never been how the NFL operates.

On Waymo, it looked like the Vikings were shading their coverage towards him. It opened up the underneath routes for the Slot Merchant.

I think the vikes game planned to take him out of the game. Goff did a good job of distributing the ball.

Jamo also deeked his guy bad and was wide open on the long TD to Saint. He could have walked in. Plus no doubt the attention on him led to all the room for Saint and Raymond.

Goff was great again though the old Goff tried to peek through on that last sack fumble when he tried a desperation pass that ended up going backward. He was good early about eating the sack on a couple of plays early and not creating the bad turnover.

Great win, the Vikings are a good team with a really good coaching staff.

There is always going to be someone that doesn't get targets especially now that Patrick is around

Good: Man, I'm not a big Goff guy, but he's really upped his game lately. Brian Friggin Branch.
Bad: The NFL trying to make a statement after Dan embarrassed the Refs and Jerry. 5 straight penalties in the 1st quarter... 3 accepted.... come on man! They evened it up after that to disguise the "message", but the Lions' overcame. Fuck you.
Ugly: Need a pass rush, Badly. Go get Hendrickson.

Looks like we both started one. Deb can you combine the two GBU threads?

PS - my thread title is better.

Agree. I think I said something to that effect in the Game Day Thread.

I think this secondary is pretty damn good and getting better every week.
