I'll look over the recording later, but I'm going to guess the pass rush was largely non-existent?

    • Seems like that extra play would have been an Erin Rodgers TD Hail Mary , but Campbell’s Lions are not the SOL

      • Only saw the second half - the Vikings beat Decker like a drum.
Agree with Froot - that was a master class of clock management by Campbell.
Also - FINALLY, after all these years they bring a pass rush on a potential Hail Mary. :D
Whoever dialed that up needs to get sent a bottle of the expensive wine the Ford's be drinking.

They got some pressure, some of the pressures caused holds, they had a couple of sacks it was the standard Minnesota/Detroit game.

            • They really focused on shutting down Jefferson which was pretty successful.

              • that last play to give them an extra play was an obvious flaw in the rules .
so you have the the two fastest players on your team snap the ball and the rest of the team be twenty yards behind them so as long as they are still and not moving it is a non run off penalty 5 yards back and replay the down!

                Crazy flaw

                • Aot of the pressures resulted in Darnold runs. 4 carries for 39 yards.

Getting a sack on the "bonus" play almost made it worth it. Almost....

And the last one was a thing of beauty - and why Darnold is Darnold.
You got an OC that is playing 4 downs here - has a wide open receiver at 5 yards - and he tucks....
Sheila - send Darnold a bottle of the Ford's finest too.

                            • The fumble return sucked but I was weirdly confident that it wouldn't matter. But I expected them to drain the clock down on the ensuing drive and that's not what happened.

                              • I didn't get a chance to see what happened, I was mired in yet another 'Battle of Ohio' (which less resembled a battle and more resembled two drunks trying to hold one another up) and only saw the score on occasion. And, after the Lions went up 21-something I kept seeing Minny creeping back, and then take the lead. So I was pleasantly surprised with the final score.

That's what playoff-teams do: you go into an undefeated division rival's house and you figure out how to get a W and come on home. Great win.
A Bengals fan since the late '70s and a Lions fan since the mid-'80s. You could say misery is my beverage of choice.
