I'd pass on Reddick tbh....30 years old, hasn't played football this year, is more of a blitzing linebacker than a true edge (same exact size as James Houston), and wants a massive deal reportedly....hard pass.

Hes not exactly a fit for the Lions scheme either, as he’s an undersized edge rusher. There’s certainly a role for him, but hard to see the Lions paying a premium of a 2nd and another pick for that.
The second we'd give them replaces the third that they currently owe Philly. It's the equivalent of giving them a 3rd for him from their perspective. Yes, they might want a little more, but it's already a good price for a player that isn't planning on playing for them.

Yeah, I think I misinterpreted the details around the reporting of the deal. If Reddick gets traded to an NFC team, the conditional 3rd the Jets owe becomes a conditional 2nd. I initially read it as another pick they would owe.

I just don’t think that the Lions would do a deal for a guy like that who’s just a fill-in, as he doesn’t seem like a player they would sign to a long term deal.

This just fucking sucks man. When Hutch was down I saw him taking off a glove, I'm like OK, he broke a finger, no big deal. He takes the other one off like "I'm done" and the "oh shit" starts crawling up me. I'm looking at the replay shot as they fade to commercial, I can't see anything happening to his hands, but then as I'm sitting there by myself I say out loud "Oh fuuuuck" as I saw it. And I can't get that image out of my head even still to this very moment. When I woke up the next day, Hutch was the first thing I thought about.
"Yeah, we just... we don't want them to go. So that's our motivation."

I didn't figure it out until the announcer said, "we won't show you the replay," which meant OF COURSE I needed to roll the DVR back.

I regretted it pretty much instantly.

I had to step away at halftime to do some shit, and was just getting ready to tune back into the game when my phone started blowing up with a bunch of texts along the lines of "FUCK!" and "OH SHIT", etc. When I read the texts and saw that it was a Hutch injury and it sounded nasty, I asked if I wanted to see the replay and the thread with about 10 friends said no you don't, absolutely not.

And then one of guys decided to post the picture of his leg wrapping halfway around Alim's leg anyway. So thanks, dick!

Exactly what I thought at first too that it was his finger. What a deflating moment that was.

I didn't see what happened in real time. I only knew Hutch's reaction looked bad when he went down. I was hoping against hope that we'd come back from commercial and he'd be on his feet.

But then the telecast came back from commercial and the stretcher was out.

I swear, literally like 15 minutes before it happened, I was sitting there thinking how glorious this game was -- and if we could just get through the rest without any significant injuries...

Recently tweeted. I would give up two firsts in a heartbeat. And you guys know how much I like the draft and draft picks.

It would take at least 3 #1 picks to start and probably a couple 2's. There's no way the Raiders are going to part with Crosby unless it's a haul of unimaginable heights.

Remember they will say if you got Crosby and Hutch, along with the rest of your roster, you will be a Super Bowl caliber team the next 3 years and your #1 draft pick will be close to a #2 and #2 close to #3's.

They sound good but in reality they're not. I see almost no chance to get him unless it's a ridiculous amount to give up.

No it wouldn’t take 3 first round picks. Only QBs draw such massive trade hauls. Tyreek Hill didn’t even get two firsts and he’s maybe the most impactful non-QB offensive player in the league. If Crosby asked for a trade, the starting point would be 2 firsts probably but it could just as easily turn into something like Hill’s deal (1st, 2nd, 2 4ths and a 5th).

It certainly shouldn't take three 1st round picks, Crosby is great, but not that great.
