This!! Every game with these guys seems to involve an officiating controversy that benefits the Cowboys. The Lions can prevent this by getting the offense rolling.

I was at the game in the Silverdome when Steady Eddie Murray kicked a field goal as time expired to beat the Cowboys. The next day, there was a photo on the front page of the sports section of the game-winner and counting the number of Honolulu Blue jerseys - 12. That was a long ass time ago, in a stadium far, far away, but we got away with one.

A lot of factors make me have expectations that the Lions win this game.
- Revenge for 2023’s nonsense.
- Bye week.
- Cowboys depleted at edge rushers (down their top 4 guys?)
- Lions are a better team this season.
- Physical Steelers beating up the Cowboys and short rest.
However, it’s the NFL. Logic hardly exists in predicting future results from our less informed fans perspective. Seahawks were down both of their starting OTs in last year’s Lions matchup… They comfortably scored 30+ points. LOGIC.

Lions need to be ready for exotic blitzes. Zimmer will need to be creative to pressure Goff. Be ready for it. Cowboys kicker is spooky ridiculous too. Hope it doesn’t comedown to him.

Yes!!! When they ran Murray out at the end, everyone in the crowd was wondering what the hell they were doing. It was classic Lions ineptitude. Hell, they had their regular offense out there in formation. Since Hipple was the QB and the holder, they just put him in shotgun, put Murray in and told him to kick it. Crazy. I've never seen anything like that before or since.

I remember Howard Cosell on halftime highlights on MNF saying how there was 12 on the field and how tainted the lion’s victory was.

I was also at that game, remember it well. The kicking team raced on to the field with no timeouts left, Murray made the kick and the refs never noticed the 12 players.

This is a revenge game. Period. Karma kicked in when Green Bay knocked off Dallas in the playoffs, giving us the 2nd wild card seed back, but doesn't excuse what happened in the first place.
