How did Dan not get Goff a game ball, some statistics staffer is getting canned today.
The go for 2 thing when down 14 started a couple of years ago....but isnt the success rate of 2 point conversions only like in the low 40% range? Id rather pull within 7 and if need be go for 2 to win the game later....Id also say it depends on whom you are playing...Scoring from the 2 is easier against some teams than others.
He gave JaMo a game ball for 2 catches but not Goff for 18-18?
JaMo was literally everywhere when they needed him to be. He actually was on the field for more snaps than St. Brown last night. He was out there doing all the little things that Campbell loves to see, and both his catches were big ones. The first as I recall got a big first down on their first TD drive, and his second was that 70-yard score that pushed it back to a two-score game.

Two point conversion rate is hovering somewhere around the high 40's, iirc. It's a bit of wonky game theory, but having the possibility of winning outright at the end of the game is a big deal to some coaches.
Has anybody ever seen a team up seven for.for.the 2 point conversion? It seems like making a the difference between a 2 score game and an 8 point game is huge.

I guess I could see some games when 2 drives stall out and end with FGs seem more likely than a TD drive…but last night was not one of those games
