Lions finally get the Seahawks monkey off their back. GBU discussion.

    G:
    - Lions win on prime time.
    - Goff perfect.
    - Lions passing game/ WRs/ LaPorta.
    - That Montgomery huge play.
    - Jamo burning the Seahawks secondary on that big play.
    - St. Brown TDs. That TD pass to Goff, my gosh.
    - OLine replacing Ragnow.
    - Jack Campbell forced fumble.
    - Kerby ridiculous INT.
    - Lions black uniforms.
    - Defense in 1st half.
    - GG Seahawks. See you again in the playoffs. Good ballgame.

    B:
    - Defense in 2nd half.
    - Refs were pretty bad both ways.

    U:
    - Arnold’s technique needs adjusting. He’ll be fine down the road IMO, but it’s certainly hurting the Lions early in the season. Work on this during the bye. Rookie CB, don’t say anything you would regret. (Slay 2013 ).

Another good is having a win like this going into the bye. Need to enjoy the time off and come back ready to bounce the 'Boys in Dallas.
A Bengals fan since the late '70s and a Lions fan since the mid-'80s. You could say misery is my beverage of choice.

      Good:
      The Goffense.
      Bad:
      Arnold’s technique.
      Ugly:
      The refs.
      3,062 carries, 15,269 yards, 5.0 yards/carry, 99 TD

I genuinely wonder if refs are putting Arnold under a microscope, because more than a handful of his flags are for things that veteran CBs routinely get away with at the NFL level. But Lockett falls down three seconds after Arnold's right hand brushes his jersey? Throw that laundry!

That said, he does legitimately earn some of his flags. Like the one where he practically tackled Njigba in the middle of the field. That was like the holdingest hold that was ever held.

Cody beat me to it. A lot of the same list:

          G
          - Goff 18-18
          - ARSB to Goff TD (Heck of a throw)
          - Jamo with the Calvin Johnson Tribute Goal Post Dunk
          - Monty running over Witherspoon
          - Kerby with the amazing interception to seal the game
          - Carlton Davis one-on-one with Metcalf all game.

          B
          - Secondary tackling without Branch
          - Play call to pitch to Monty on 3rd and 1
          - Refs calling penalty on Tribute Dunk

          U
          - 2nd half defense
          - Arnold penalties. Dude seriously needs to stop grabbing

G: Great performance by the offense and everyone was involved

B: It didnt fell like the pass rush was very good (4 sacks but most were coverage sacks)

U: it looks like the james Houston train has derailed...he did not look good at all...not as quic kas he used to be, got manhandled most plays he was in
Terrion Arnold...not much to say he is a handsy defender in a league where the refs want the DBs to defend with their feet more

Overall a good win....have to keep pace with the Vikings and the offense was the offense we all know....Interested to see how the Dallas game plays out.

I said before the game it was time for Goff and Ben Johnson to step it up - well let’s just say mission accomplished.

Add to the Bad: DC not giving a game ball to Goff. Whoops!

The Lions head coach Dan Campbell opted to give the game ball to two other players despite Jared Goff not having an incompletion.

You can't give up 38 first downs. Even in comeback mode. That has to be close to a record.

It is the record for most first downs ever by a losing team, funny enough.

It was good to finally see the offense break out a little especially in the second half. That was really nice to see. To many penalties. That needs to improve. refs were not friendly to the Lionjs.
                      GO LIONS "24" !!

Geno is good and seems to have the Lions number, and the Lions certainly were in position and didn’t close the deal on some key plays. Still, I had some frustration with Glenn’s play calling at times and committing to his style of defense each week is going to invite these types of games against a good QB. Also, the LBs are just not good in coverage. I thought Jack Campbell struggles last night outside of one or two run fits (edit: and obviously forced the big fumble).

But the offense did what it was supposed to do against a defense missing some key pieces.

At the end of the day, just like the last couple meetings between these two teams, it boiled down to which team made those one or two big mistakes that put their team behind the 8-ball, unable to completely catch up.

Finally, Seattle was the one that coughed the ball up more.

Got the W. 3-1 and a much needed bye to see whom can heal up before @ Cowboys. Calm Sunday approaches.
                              Got Kneecaps?
