On Arnold’s PI call…looked like he was in position, had space, turned for the ball then got pancaked by the receiver. What’s he supposed to do in a situation like that?
Yes, we heard the whistle before Goff was hit and wondered why the defense wasn't flagged for hitting our qb after the whistle. Then the broadcast seemed to imply that Detroit was lucky they got out of the turnover, that was maddening!

Murray was uncomfortable the whole game and could never get into a rhythm

        Great job by the defense.

I thought Arnold was much better after he got hurt. More often than not he is matched up with the #1.

I've never seen an opposing coach start taking timeouts with 7 minutes left to save time.

If you can grind teams on the ground and your defense can hold high powered offenses to 20 points or less, eventually you are going to start putting up the points Right now they have to work in Patrick to be the Reynolds replacement and today the Pallets injury hurt them. I feared this first four games more than most, so I like where they are at

Once the right tackle went out, they were donezo. Hutch was comically abusing the replacement and Murray cannot stand tall in the pocket and deliver fast outs like Stafford. He can beat you, but he can't be you as a standard pocket passer.

I think that overall, Arnold had a better than solid game. He is going to get better every game

Yep. Play was whistled dead and you can see the OL pulled up. Goff doinked the ball off a blitzer who played through the whistle.

Maybe the snap came before the refs should have blown the whistle, but the play was dead and no-play before Goff threw the ball. Refs confirmed the whistle in the pool interview after the game.

Coaching opportunity for Goff: You hear a whistle, you fire the ball forward two yards into the ground.

I don't get how they defenses so precise with the whistle at the 2:00 mark but they have no precision with the play clock

I think this is a good place to put this.

Sunday night football is a much better watch, no matter who is playing, when the Lions win

                      G. Nice road win. Played much better, but still have long way to go. Great run game. Much reduced number of stupid penalties.

                      B. Passing game still pretty unproductive.

                      U. No much

I wonder if it was less to save time and more to give his defense a breather. They had been on the field a long time at that point, and letting the Lions bulldoze them like they did the Rams in OT in Week 1 was a recipe for a loss.

And who the eff is Pallets?

I'm not sure why spell check changed LaPorta to Pallets.

There's no way the refs intentionally made the right call there, but at least it was actually correct for once.
I was more pissy that the announcers were sooooo angry the INT got recalled. I don't care if they didn't whistle in time, they heard the whistle, admitted they heard it, but it was after the snap. If a whistle is made, then the play is over, donsie. It wasn't some miracle action that allowed them to get the TD. Infact the pressure on Goff might very well have been because the offensive line was trying to to wind down after they heard the whistle and a couple defenders played through it.

Doesn't matter because the play died when they whistled it dead regardless of they whistled late for the warning or not. It's not like the refs went fuck I had money on the Lions and can't take this INT let me find a way to reverse it. They whistled it dead well before the pass.

One good thing I've noticed so far is good safety play. Joseph is playing much better. Branch is good at the other safety spot. I could be forgetting some plays, but last year by game three we had already seen some WTF safety play
