There was some late 1st RD/ early day 2 buzz about Troy Franklin recently. Makes me wonder what happened. Oregon’s best playmaker last season for Bo Nix.

Hate to say that the RB depth is most impressive. Ray Davis, Will Shipley, Bucky Irving, Braelon Allen, Audric Estime, Cody Schrader, and Jaylen Wright. Some others too. Not sure if the Lions will add more competition to Craig Reynolds, Zonovan Knight, and Jermar Jefferson.

TE depth impressive too. Like I always had the impression of Ja’Tavion Sanders being a BEAST at Texas.

Penn State starting CBs are both available, but the triple dip might be too extreme.

Take your pick of Michigan OLine or others from the defending champs. Trevor Keegan in particular.

So are the Lions going to be interested in Jake Bates? We’ll see some kicker action in the draft tomorrow.

I gotta believe that we'll draft at least one offensive lineman Saturday.

I was really hoping we could pick up a 4th rounder, because there are three IOL that I really like there: Christian Mahogany, Mason McCormick & Layden Robinson are all good fits and potential starters. If we trade up into the 4th, might be for these guys. Layden Robinson has a chance to slide down into the 5th and Charlie Campbell said the Lions really like him.

If we don't trade up, then as Cody said, Trevor Keegan is a good fit and projected for the 6th.

Beaux Limmer & Hunter Nourzad are also good fits at Center who could develop into starters and also projected into the 4th. Eguakun should make it to 164 and projects to backup.

Potential starting Tackles are likely gone. Future backups to look for: Nathan Thomas & Javon Foster (from West Bloomfield) could be there at 164. Frank Crum (6th) and Josiah Ezirim (7th) are also good fits.

I love Audric Estime but he's not what the Lions need.

I think Holmes will pick some off the wall small school freak athlete that they've uncovered with the next pick that we all say "Who?".

I'm also curious as to whether we take this draft and find a return specialist. With the new kickoff rule we might want to stay ahead of the curve on that one. That kickoff rule is a serious change to the game. Kicking it out of the endzone will let the other team start at the 40. That's crazy field position.

Right. By the time the Lions are on the clock, the “Who?” picks will be plentiful.

If you allow me to have one guilty pleasure draft choice today, it’s Cody Schrader. Very, very late in the draft if anything. Odds of pick #249 making the team are low anyways. I just really liked watching Schrader at Mizzou last season. So good. Maybe there’s special teams value. Who knows. He has a cool name too.

I’m still hoping for a kicker but the kid from Stanford and Bama will prob be gone by our pick as well.

If they look at WR they’ll be out of our range but Brenden Rice from USC is really a solid pick and Devontez Walker from UNC would be nice as well.
