Please support the Forum by using the Amazon Link this Holiday Season
Amazon has started their Black Friday sales and there are some great deals to be had! As you shop this holiday season, please consider using the forum's Amazon.com link (listed in the menu as "Amazon Link") to add items to your cart and purchase them. The forum gets a small commission from every item sold.
Additionally, the forum gets a "bounty" for various offers at Amazon.com. For instance, if you sign up for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, the forum will earn $3. Same if you buy a Prime membership for someone else as a gift! Trying out or purchasing an Audible membership will earn the forum a few bucks. And creating an Amazon Business account will send a $15 commission our way.
If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!
Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.
Stay safe and well and thank you for your participation in the Forum and for your support!! --Deborah

I think he is still burnt by a decision he made last year where he went for a long field when he was up 3 iirc (Vikings I think) and the kicker missed it...He said he hated the decision and wasnt going to do that again....The problem is you cant give up 34 points in the playoffs and win consistently...if KC gave up 34 today they'd be staying home also...Some of those 34 were bad luck (fumble, pass doinking off the DBs helmet for 51 yard gain), but in the end the defense isnt good enough.

Newsflash: Not everyone posts everything they agree or disagree with on this forum about every play in every game.
Your premise is bullshit. You act like it's fact. It's not.
And I've broken my own rule again. I'm done with you and your passive/aggressive garbage.Apathetic No More.

Lions actually punched above the averages this year in terms of 4th down conversion - what you saw this year is probably as good as it ever will be.
It's like the batter who has a ridiculously high BABIP (Batting Average Balls in Play) - it's not sustainable - he will regress to the mean.
That is independent on whether they fix/improve the defense.

Why don't you go out and gamble your house on the NFL every week? Because you're not stupid, right? There's intelligent gambling and reckless gambling. When the other team scores 20 straight points on you and you have a chance to kick a 46 yard FG to re-tie the game (that any competent FG kicker should make), you do it.
It was stupid.GO LIONS "24" !!

"Good: It was a good playoff run and great season.
Bad: That 4th down drop by Reynolds was the turning point. Not saying everything was his fault, but that started the slide. Then the damn broke with the Gibb's fumble.
Ugly: Just not enough athleticism on defense. The long Aiyuk reception told the tale: off our guy's hands and facemask while Debo tracks it down to make an amazing catch. Also telling the tale is their consistent inability to take the QB down even when the pressure gets home."
