            • My Dad had never heard about the knee biting quote. I shared the clip with him before the game and he loved it. He likes our coach now but he's a lifelong Rams fan, so it was a fun game.

He put his Aaron Donald shirt on for good luck, and Stafford literally threw the pick on the next play. He took it right off. When the Rams started coming back I tried to get him to put it on and he refused.

After the game I asked him why his defense let us RAM it down their throat in OT. Because MCDC, that's why.

              • With this win over the Rams, MCDC is now .500 if you count the playoffs.

And I've probably just jinxed us for the Tampa game.

                • Back in the Joey-Millen days, some/many of us refused to accept the "moral victory" stuff and just said a loss is a loss (I was here, but after 0-16 I went dormant, forgot my login and made this new account). Back then, any win, any way, any how, at any cost was a big deal.

But now, we are having "moral losses." We didn't win big enough against this team. Instead of just scrapping and clawing for a win, we are looking at wins as "get right" games that serve the purpose of getting into midseason form.

And what's more, I'm seeing repeatedly with both the neutral TV announcers and also Cardinals media/content creators that we, the Lions, are the template. "Where we are now is where the Lions were two years ago."

This is how far MCDC has taken this team.

                        • MCDC's journey with the Lions so far has been pretty interesting. Obviously the last down he played in the NFL was on the 0-16 team, but also his entire duration as a player on the Lions matched up exactly with Rod Marinelli's tenure. I do wonder how much that influenced Dan, not only on the obvious "what not to do" but also on some aspects of what Marinelli was trying to do. I remember Marinelli once saying that he wished he could QB sneak it 30 times a game, which I guess was his way of saying he wanted a tough, hardnose team (which would explain why he went after MCDC as a player). All those "dig with our shovel" quotes, carrying so many d-linemen that half our kickoff coverage is d-linemen. It failed in historic fashion, but Marinelli was going after toughness and physicality.

                          • It was pretty awesome when Goff game the game ball back to Dan Campbell saying "this guy is our rock"....On a day that they could have dwelt on disaster of losing their best defensive player, they rallied behind their coach and continued to play hard......

                            • I don’t believe he played any downs on the 0-16 team. He was injured before the season began

                              • He played one game for the Lions in 2008 and had a one catch for 21 yards. The next.year he was on the Saints when they won the Super Bowl but was on IR the whole season. Injuries messed up his last 3 seasons.
