Honestly I never have liked Payton. I think he got far too much credit for Easy Breesy but.... at the beginning of the year the Broncos looked like arguably the worst team in the league. Hell they gave up 70 points to Miami. 70!!! They could have mailed it in and tanked going for a top pick. They didn't.

The donkeys ended up as a very respectable 8-9. They beat KC, Green Bay, Buffalo, Minnesota and Cleveland down the stretch. That's really impressive considering their start. Hats off to Payton for keeping the wheels on

I think it's age, there is a cut off for every person, probably hair color, that just makes a dramatic shift. This not being politics but both younger Presidents in Clinton and Obama hair dramatically changed during their presidency. That got turned into look at how stressful a presidency is and how quickly it ages you. But I think it was more of them crossing that point where the white hair finally broke then dam.

That said, that caffeine intake, probably all of it needed for running the team. The tab comes due at some point. Hope when these playoffs are over he takes a 2 month nap.
