Goff had said a year or so ago that MCDC has a very high emotional intelligence, which I think is pretty obvious by now. But I think Goff has a high emotional IQ as well.

Ugh, for me that play immediately told me the season was over. I thought we were a 7 or 10 win team. But going in I said to someone it's a rookie QB playing his first game, he has a backup RB starting (I had a pretty low opinion of Turner), if we can't beat them then I am not sure we can beat anyone.

The Lions went 4-0 in the preseason, outscoring opponents 80-32 in the preseason.

In the regular season, the Lions proceeded to go 0-16 (as we all remember well) and allowed 32.3 ppg, which was 3rd worst of any team since the 1960s. Millen was finally fired. Our QBs were Dan Orlovsky, Drew Stanton, Drew Henson, and Daunte Culpepper (ugh, what a QB room, lol). We did have Calvin -- who was flanked by great WRs such as Keary Colbert, Chris Hannon, Adam Jennings, John Standeford, and Travis Taylor. TEs were Casey Fitzsimmons and John Owens. The DB room was (yikes):

Other notable lions included Jeff Backus, Gosder Cherilus, Dominic Raiola, Cliff Avril, Ikaika Alama-Francis, and Ernie Sims. Players who ended the season on IR included Dan Campbell, Mike Furrey, Jon Kitna, and Corey Redding.

The season included losses to Green Bay (48-25), Chicago (34-7), Jax (38-14), Tampa (38-20), Tennessee (47-10 on Thanksgiving), and New Orleans (42-7).

The Lions were outscored 517-268 on the year.

I remember that year in this forum, we all thought they were going to be terrible based on that epic second half collapse from the season before. But in the preseason you had a 4-0 start and a couple people were razzing everyone else about the negativity. They weren't saying much halfway through the year

I love people who get worked up about "trick" plays. Almost every play outside of a QB sneak has some level of trickery involved, on both sides of the ball.

And the Lions don't just whip out the unique plays for blowouts - case in point last year's Cowboys game, the Arizona game this year, the Green Bay and Vikings games a couple of years ago, just to name some prominent ones.

The Cowboys were yukking it up last year after the robbery. They were yukking it up after the party bus game in 2014. They had it coming. It's not like the Lions have made it a habit of rubbing it in.

Plus Christie says take it up with the league and Goodell. The Lions did and got no satisfaction in 2014 or last year. This was taking it up with the league, having Skipper report on the final kneel down was directly towards the league and Goodell.

For as long as I've been a Lion fan, the Lions have been on a lot of short ends of the stick and the league doesn't do shit. This is what you get when that is the case
