This is very sad. I have a ton of respect for how he carried himself in here. He will definitely be missed. This forum feels wrong without him.

This sucks big time, I had a bad feeling when you guys were asking about him. It is looking up for the Lions especially on the pass rush side of the equation and we didn't hear from him, that was a warning sign.

Yes that is terrible news. What a good man. Feel for his family.

One can tell by his posts that he loved his son and family.
Anyone could tell he had a big heart and shared his emotions and passions without hesitation.
Too me that’s what I will remember about him.
It also sounded like he was believer in Christ.
I hope his family can lean on their faith.

Reading the post and the obit brings to mind ... I do somewhat recall an "Al Wells" posting on one of the forums years ago. Guess he used the real name before Futureshock

The sad thing is, right now the Detroit Lions are about to become the team we all dreamed of becoming many years ago, and Future won't be here to enjoy it.

Plus, I'm also from the Flint area, but came into the world 1 1/2 years later, in '66.

              RIP Future.

This stinks. I don’t pay too much attention to how much people post but now that people have mentioned it, I realized I hadn’t seen him in a while. I feel terrible for his family. From a football perspective, at least he got to enjoy last season and probably had some hope for the near future.

                  RIP Futureshock

I don't think he would want us to be sad over his passing (that can't be helped). He would want us to celebrate his life, so I think we should have a meet up (Maybe the draft?) and can toast to him and the eternal ope and love he had for this franchise.
2012 Detroit Lions Draft: 1) Cordy Glenn G , 2) Brandon Taylor S, 3) Sean Spence olb, 4) Joe Adams WR/KR, 5) Matt McCants OT, 7a) B.J. Coleman QB 7b) Kewshan Martin WR

Damn. Future had solid takes and avoided the middle school name calling. Always felt we could use more people like him here in the forum. Great fan with a good soul. Peace and strength to his family.

There needs to be a giant "like" thumb to attach to his name. Or at least a "shocker" hand.

There's a soju with your name on it tonight brother. 건배 !
Where are we going; and what's up with this hand basket?

Just had a second “WTF moment.” 🤦‍♂️

Long story short….. over the years, ever since DanO-Boy charmed the underpants of my Mrs on the phone all those years ago,….. she very regularly asks about stuff that goes on on this forum ……. “Any tailgates happening?” …… “Are they all getting on after the Covid debate?” ……, “Did CGVT finish that kitchen off?” …… “Has Chemiclord written any more books?” ……, following the photos of Jeremy building his house in Japan, Etc etc etc , tons more stuff…….. this morning she said, “Whats being said on the Futureshock Thread?”

Had a second …… FFS, Future.

Never ever met the guy but his passing has had more effect than some family members in the past. I know that shouldn’t be the case, but true. 🤦‍♂️

Logging on this morning and seeing this sad news. His Samuel L Jackson avatar was perfect and seemed good to talk about anything Lions with him. There will be a void without him here for sure.
