It's weird how hearing about actors/comedians who made you laugh have passed away feel different than other celebrities. Some psychological connection is made with humor or something. For me anyhow.
John Candy, Phil Hartman, Rodney Dangerfield, Chris Farley, Leslie Nelson... I'm sure there are more.

He was also before my time, the best stand up for me was George Carlin who called himself an "old fart" in his last few shows.Comment

One of his last serious roles was a movie with Barbra Striesand called 'Nuts' where she plays a prostitute and he is her client running around in his red thong underwear. The movie was very good and she kills him in a very dramatic scene but I'm sure his conversion to comedy killed any residuals for the movie.Originally posted by ghandi View Post
