When you see movie stars of the past, they didn't have the option to spend millions on plastic surgery, it was all natural beauty. I agree she just had a naturally very pretty look about her. Elmer Gantry is a great old movie BTW, Burt Lancaster and Shirley Jones both won acting Oscars.
