-------------------------------One can committ a crime of passion and afterword realize what they had done. Then you have two choices. Save yourself by covering up the crime or turning yourself in. I would venture to guess most people would choose the former.

    • Crime of passion is usually an "in the act of" kind of thing. The resulting cover-up is unrelated.

      • Wow! It is hard to understand how someone can be that cold blooded.

          • Sure you can choose to cover it up, but by mutilating this person you loved? That's where you lose me. That's where it goes from a crime of passion to a psychopath nutjob.

              • It's not about mutilating the body Deb it's about saving your own ass. That's high on most people's list of things to do in life. Once the person is dead they are dead. It then becomes a mision to save ones ass.

                  • Mass. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy dies at age 77

HYANNIS PORT, Mass. – Massachusetts Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, the liberal lion of the Senate, has died after battling a brain tumor. He was 77.

Kennedy's family announced his death in a brief statement released early Wednesday.
For nearly a half-century in the Senate, Kennedy was a dominant voice on health care, civil rights, war and peace, and more. To the American public, though, he was best known as the last surviving brother of a storied political family.

Kennedy was elected to the Senate in 1962, when his brother John was president, and served longer than all but two senators in history.

Over the decades, Kennedy put his imprint on every major piece of social legislation to clear the Congress.

                    • He had a glioblastoma multiforme. It's the most common type of brain tumor, and the most lethal. He never had a chance. It's not the kind of cancer that people "beat" by "having a great attitude" and "never giving up." It's a monster that kills random people from a wide swath of society.

The fact that John McCain went on record this past week, saying that he wished Kennedy was around to work on healthcare reform, is a testament to just how unique the late senator was. Truly accomplished legislators—who know how to navigate the realities of political life and get things done—seem to be a dying breed.

                      In this case, literally.

I don't recall reading anything about how he actually killed her, just the resulting coverup. What exactly did he do that would lead one to think "crime of passion"?

                          • He strangled her, I think. And the story is that she was going to meet an ex-boyfriend. So I guess the assumption is he killed her in a jealous rage.
