                      • RIP Mr. Cronkite.

My parents watched your news report every night when I was a kid. You are still the bar that most TV news anchors hope to live up to.

                        • Here was a man WORTHY of media frenzy and memorials. He was not a "pop" star nor a child molester. He was not a vapid-headed celebrity nor a infamous criminal. He was just the man who got us through some of the toughest years of this country's existence: Kennedy's assasination, Vietnam, King's assassination, and Watergate. When people didn't know who to trust, they turned to him. Unfortunately, his death will go by practically unnoticed because he didn't sell records or sleep with McCauley Caulkin.

Rest in peace, Mr. Cronkite. Here is one man who knows what your true worth was and was touched by your steady voice during the crises of my youth.

My parents watched him all the time when I was a kid and I actually found the news somewhat palatable.
