Hated him as president, admired him in his private life. Up until recently he was still helping build houses for Habitat for Humanity.

Some celebrity deaths hit a lot harder than you think. When I was growing up Bob Uecker was everywhere. I must have been 11 years old reading Catcher in the Wry. At the time I thought he was the greatest and I wasn't wrong.

Bob Uecker was great. LOVED him. R.I.P. Bob. Juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust a bit outside.

Uecker was an absolute 1-of-1. What a unique guy and career.

The “I must be in the front row!” commercial is the most famous but there were a series of those Miller Lite commercials with him. I was watching them yesterday and this one has a pre-fame John Goodman in it.
