Gil Brandt passed away. RIP.
Enjoyed listening to him on Sirius NFL Radio a few years ago. Usually had interesting nuggets of information to share about NFL history. I’m not sure if Gonz is still around, but he respected Brandt as well.

Smash Mouth lead singer Steve Harwell passed away too. Couple huge hits famous in the early 2000s. In particular from “Shrek.”

Geez, too much sadness in recent weeks.

Steve died from acute liver failure nearly two years after announcing his retirement. Smash Mouth's manager previously told TMZ that Steve had struggled with alcohol abuse throughout his life and was hospitalized before heading home to enter hospice care as he reached the final stage of liver failure.

I go through stages of full on don’t touch the stuff and get productive as shit for 6 months but all it takes is 1 to actively having a few a day. Alcohol is so much fun but it’s terrible for you

I have never been a big drinker, but I have seen way too many lives ruined by alcohol, it sucks. 🙁

Holy crap, folks, this isn't a morality lesson or how to live clean thread. RIP Smashmouth Singer. It sounds like he had similar struggles and demons, but we handle them differently.
