Please support the Forum by using the Amazon Link this Holiday Season
Amazon has started their Black Friday sales and there are some great deals to be had! As you shop this holiday season, please consider using the forum's Amazon.com link (listed in the menu as "Amazon Link") to add items to your cart and purchase them. The forum gets a small commission from every item sold.
Additionally, the forum gets a "bounty" for various offers at Amazon.com. For instance, if you sign up for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, the forum will earn $3. Same if you buy a Prime membership for someone else as a gift! Trying out or purchasing an Audible membership will earn the forum a few bucks. And creating an Amazon Business account will send a $15 commission our way.
If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!
Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.
Stay safe and well and thank you for your participation in the Forum and for your support!! --Deborah

Eric "Winkle" Brown a Scottish (from Leith, Nr Edinburgh) test pilot died at the weekend aged 97, what an amazing life he had.
Amongst the things he had done:-
Flown the most type of Aircraft, unlikely to be bettered - 487 (This is basic types, not including variations!), including a ME163 Rocket plane captured from the Germans
First person to land a jet aircraft on an aircraft carrier
Most landings on an Aircraft Carrier - 2407
One of only two people to survive their ship being sunk by a U-Boat
Was at the liberation of Bergen Belsen
Interrogated Goering and Himmler
Close friends with Neil Armstrong
Watched Hitler shake hands with Jessie Owens at the Olympics, countering the belief that Hitler ignored him.
There was a BBC documentary about him last year, which is worth watching if you can find it.AAL Quintez Cephus
If you fall during your life, it doesn't matter. You're never a failure as long as you try to get up.

RIP George Kennedy. Loved most of his movies, disaster ones and comedies. He was brilliant as Frank Drebins right hand man. Every bit as funny as Leslie Neilson.
RIP big guy."...when Hibernian won the Scottish Cup final and that celebration, Sunshine on Leith? I don’t think there’s a better football celebration ever in the game.”
Sir Alex Ferguson
