Heh, heh. That is true but I was on the phone with a customer as the story was being played. I don't think Gierke is what I heard. In fact, I paused when the name was announced because I could not believe what I was hearing but they did not repeat the victims names (and they did not spend a whole lot of time reporting it which made me believe either there were not a lot of facts available).

Sorry if it is a false alarm but I was stunned by what I thought I had heard.

RIP Ed. I remember seeing him on an episode of The Dog Whisperer a year or so ago, he was showing his age then. I also remember hearing he had some financial problems recently.

I don't care much for Leno, Letterman, Conan... Late. Night TV will never be as good as it was when Johnny was at his desk and Ed was on the couch. Here's to them being back together again.

What Ed did was so much more difficult and complicated than it seems. He was brilliant at it.

What I loved was all those years he announced for the Jerry Lewis Telethons. He was just as dedicated as Jerry in that good work.
