Gotta admit, I used to pull out a pretty good Cliff Clavin impression on people. Everybody would laugh, and nobody didn't know who it was supposed to be.

A long time ago I met with a Scientologist a couple times.
you go through this process to become “Clear”.
Basically going through changes to eliminate bad traits and such.
I asked him how long he was in the religion. He answered about a year as he puffed on his Cigarette.
I didn’t look into any farther.
They hook you up to a machine that is attached to your finger and ask you questions. Kind of like a confession to get you to open up your true feelings so you can “cleanse yourself” and journey on to the “clear” status.
L. Ron Hubbard was said to be clear.
It was very hard to get there, and a long process they told me.
Very few people made it there.

Kirstie Alley's death has benefitted many people just by the discussion of detection. I heard them say that colonoscopies are the only test that can actually help prevent cancer because they remove polyps along the way. When they put it like that, I think it's easier to buy in.

TMI, I realize, but...

I just sent off my Cologuard test. Much easier than a colonoscopy but still gross. And I found it challenging to complete. And it doesn't remove polyps, so I probably won't do it again.

I just did my 1st scope…the prep sucks but I don’t see what all the bad press is about.

They gave me some drugs that made me super happy…I was cracking jokes with everyone in the room.

More TMI….I had to do a camera up the 1-hole a few years ago for a bladder thing. That shit hurts….for a solid week I audibly cried out for a deity every time I peed.

Becoming “clear” is the term they used.
uou can always get the book Dianetics and read what the founder of the movement says.

ohhhhhhhhh, dearohhh nooo! 😩😫 FUCK, just had a thunderbolt flash of pain in the shaft while reading that! Not good at all.
Can only imagine……. And i 🙏 of all the “procedures” that will take place in the future, that is not one of them.

I need to get endoscopies every few years……. They ain’t a walk in the park, but they’re not horrific like the above camera up the japs eye story. 😩

I recently had a colonoscopy and while the peace of mind is good I could do without the starving to death for 36 hours and taking a massive dose of laxitive.
