The truth about Gonz is that he stayed away from the forum during the 6-2 run because he feared being wrong about his prediction of another crappy season. This is a guy that is obsessed with being right. I saw throught it right away.

I specifically remember you predicting 4 - 7 wins, because I commented on what a wuss you were for not going out on a limb.
Now as far as your hate for the Lions beginning 7 years ago, that's HUGE BULLSHIT!!!!!!!! Because three or four years ago you were predicting Mooch and Joey to win 10 or more. I forgot what you dubbed the Lions, something like "Damage Central"------------

As far as celebrity worship, I think it's silly. But a celebrity death, depending on the celebrity, is different. I think anyone who dies young has an affect on the general population which is why most people take notice and feel something. They relate it to their own lives and loved ones.
But as far as performing artists such as actors or musicians, it's a little different for me. If the artist has affected my emotions with their work, I can't help but feel something when they die."And I'm a million different people from one day to the next..."

well put, rom. these people stir us with their works, and it's saddening to learn they won't be making them any more, and to look at the screen or listen to a recording and realize that person is no longer there. I had a really funny experience a year or so ago; I used to listen to this truly dreadful '70's pre-metal band called Uriah Heep. I bought a CD of their big hits--they were even worse than I remembered--did some scouting around and discovered their singer, David Byron, had died of a heart attack in the mid-80's. that just threw me; I kept picturing him in a powder blue tuxedo, lying in state, for some reason. but it's why we have artists and musicians; because they can pull at the emotions in a way the hard and fast cannot.I made baseball as fun as doing your taxes!

Take me across the water 'cause I need some place to hide
I done the ranchers daughter and I sure did hurt his pride....I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on

I'm sorry, Drew. I was a big fan; in bands I played in right up to 2000, I always played and sung "Stealin'". They were bad. Really, really bad. Bad lyrics. Bad music. They made Grand Funk look like ELP.I made baseball as fun as doing your taxes!
