  • How old was Hunter Thompson when he killed himself?

When he did it, I think his reasoning was that he no longer wanted to keep on living just to live.......became depressed by the fact that he could no longer do things the way he used to. He more or less wanted to go out while he could do for himself......didn't want to be someone who had to be take care of and/or was irrelevant.

That sort of thing.....the documentary on him is quite good.

            • Suicide is horrifying for the surviving friends and family BUT

going out your own way is not something I can either support nor disagree with.

I do not walk in the shoes (or path) of others.

I personally hope that I have a choice when to end things for myself. Preferably with a non-restricted Morphine drip in one arm. Ni-night...

                          • Ben Gazzara died Friday of pancreatic cancer, the New York Times reported. The star of maybe the best court room drama ever and star packed "Anatomy of a Murder" (a very young Lee Remick was hot in this movie). Filmed in UP (Marquette Mi) in 1959, the movie has been traditionally screened on the campus of Northern Michigan University

Other roles of note "The Big Lebowski" and "Roadhouse", the critics hated both the Patrick Swayze action movie, and "The Big Lebowski" but thanks to frequent television play, Gazzara's role as villainous businessman became a cult favorite. He was 81 years old. RIP
