      • OK, I am not jumping off the MCDC train. He's a great coach. But he really does need to get his head out of his ass. Do Better Dan.

        • The game was lost on a perfect storm. I’m not blaming Campbell.
Dropped passes, Purdy looking like Fran Tarkenton, and some weird bounces of the football that went Niners way, plus the Gibbs fumble all played in to that game.
Thank goodness it didn’t come down to lousy officiating.

          • I still say give him a better defense and Dan might make different decisions....The defense is not good and I dont think deep down he has much faith in them, and really how many teams have a defense that can stop offenses consistently? 49ers were ranked 3rd in NFL and the Lions and Packers both put up alot of points on them.

            • That might be true. He went into that game with the underdog mentality. I'm sure some of that is him, but a lot of what they have had do under him was the defense was shit when he took over. It has improved but it's still not there.

              • 49ers were NOT going to let Hutch beat them. He was getting chipped and then double-teamed a lot. SF was just not concerned about other rushers. In the first half McNeil and Pascal did some work, but couldn't keep it going.

                • They were back to having Campbell rush the quarterback on the other edge in some downs. Houston was in there on pure passing downs and maybe had one pressure. They have to move heaven and earth to get someone on that opposite edge, right after doing the same for a cover corner

And a kicker with a leg. They have a punter with one. For real, if that game wasn't a wakeup to get a kicker with range ... then again, if I'm a good kicker, why come to a team that doesn't trust kickers

                        YES....., get him back.

Is he too old @ 39?

What age do your legs say, "Nope, you're only getting 51 yards from me....., shove yer 54 yards 63 yards up yer a$$."

                        • He was 9 for 12 on 50+ field goals. Unfortunately, he's under contract to the Cards for another year.

I think he missed a FG on the last play of the season that would have won the game for the Cards also....He missed two that game

                            • People asking for Dan to be fired after losing in the NFC Championship game is funny. Dan is already along some of the winnest HC’s we ever had. He’s on par with Wayne Fontes and has multiple playoff wins under his belt that put him in the leagues of George Wilson and Buddy Parker with more opportunities to double up on those wins in the future. There’s alot to be optimistic and excited about for the future.

Dan is the guy and superstar for Detroit and we will ride the ship until the wheels fall off and even if we did fire him who’s out there that’s better right now to replace him with? Bill Belichick? Absolutely not.

Until the wheels fall off? Hmmmm. Think they fell off and are rolling down the street out of sight.

He put those wheels on....., used the airgun, got them on real tight and done a great job, (the best for 60 years) ...., but he lost the bolt for the locking wheel nut, and they all worked loose. The wheels fucking fell off on Sunday unfortunately.

But its off down to Halfords, (or the USA equivalent) to buy a new set of nuts, (not to be mistaken for balls; because God knows, Dan's got balls)....., and go again. With tighter wheels.
