  • Cool story, but how exactly will they enforce this? Barbed wire fence and border-style vehicle check points?

They will put up signs that say "Weapon Free Zone" and everyone will behave themselves.

      • Glad to hear Rodrigo’s injury isn’t serious.
A fan favorite that is sometimes easy to forget because the Lions are so good and his role on the team isn’t pivotal (like Hutch). Though it’s great to see he’s getting more snaps on D in year 3. Never forget the rookie Rodrigo hype due to Hard Knocks and one booming hit in a preseason game … or was it week 1 of 2022…

He’s definitely more under the radar nowadays, but a solid guy to have around.

        • I've never tailgated at Eastern Market but from what I heard on the radio, it sounds like there wasn't that many rules for there and it didn't really matter until the Lions became good and then the crowd changed and surged. The line to get in was very long due to people who weren't going to the game were taking spots. It seems like the biggest change is you have to purchase spots in advance on the website and that wasn't the case before. An increase of patrol officers are probably there as well.

If it doesn't work, there probably won't be tailgating there

Sorry Deb the Jamo situation can't be discussed without discussing people's political prejudices re: gun control vs. 2A so maybe you should ban the entire subject or I could open a thread with a warning. It's your site so I'll, of course, abide by your wishes.

                      • The Wayne County Prosecutor's office is reviewing a warrant request for the arrest of Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams on a concealed weapon charge, WXYZ-TV in Detroit reported.

                        • Well, at least he can turn himself in now while he's suspended and then get bailed out by his lawyer. Fuckin' Jamo man. While he hasn't done the same thing twice, he sure seems to be trying to find every single rule and break it once, even if to a minor degree. Hopefully if there is time to be served then he can do it in the offseason.

                          • Look for the lions to draft a deep threat wideout in the first round next year.

                            • I guess I'm confused as to what grounds the police can retroactively issue a warrant in this matter, or what the warrant is even for. It seems to me like this should be entirely an internal matter on whether protocol was followed.

I have to say I'm not entirely comfortable with police being able to come back weeks later and say, "On second thought, nah we're gonna take you in after all." That seems like a scenario ripe for abuse.
