They changed the culture and it’s making their jobs so much easier getting the players that they want instead of having to overpaying the players that they don’t want for needs. This is so awesome.

Chase Young's pathetic effort on the Gibbs TD in the NFC championship game probably eliminated any consideration for him in free agency. It wasn't kneecap biting effort level.

My Kevin Zeitler story:

The year that he was entering the draft, my son and I went to the Senior Bowl practices in Mobile. We were standing by the fence close to the field. Zeitzler was working with one of the coaches on snapping the ball (I guess they wanted to see if he would be able to play center). He was eagerly soaking up everything the coach said and was obviously all in on whatever they wanted him to do. When the coach left, he kept working on the snaps. Every time he snapped the ball he would look to me and my son and ask, "how was that one?" This went on for about 10 minutes, with him asking after each snap before he left for team drills.

A couple of days later, when I took my son to the "meet the players" event, we ended up in a merch line with Zeitler's fiance and future mother in law. We had a really great conversation. They were so excited to be there and so proud of him. It was really quite wholesome. Ha!

They might draft someone to be an edge rusher, but that player is going to be competing with Davenport/Houston/Campbell/Barnes for those snaps. The other half of the snaps on that side will be going to Paschal playing 5.
