      • The Detroit Lions will not be returning C.J. Gardner-Johnson after the veteran safety agreed to a three-year free agency deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Yeah. I won't miss him. It's probably more about his bullshit trash talk than his play, I guess.

            • Yeah, that was entirely unsurprising, considering that he wants to be a starter, and the Lions were at best going to have him as part of a rotation.

              • I'm glad the Eagles gave him what looks like a big contract.

                • Wish the Lions had made a play for Burns from Carolina.

Hes a good player but they had to give picks and a 5y/150M contract if I heard correctly.

                    • I think the picks were a 2nd this year and a 5th next year. That doesn’t seem too steep. The contract is the contract. You have to pay for talent.

Well then if you get Burns who are you not going to pay when the time comes?

                        • DJ Reader set for a visit. He’d a be nice signing but I am a little worried about the new additions and injury history. Either way he’s a beast in the middle.
                          F#*K OHIO!!!

The only thing is that Detroit 2nd rounder is towards the end of the round while the Giants are at the top of the round. It would have costed us more to land Burns

Burns isn’t great against the run but he’s on a career average of 9 sacks per season. He’s worth the money and the cap keeps increasing. I’d have made the move but it wouldn’t have allowed us to do much more and our secondary was needing upgrades.

It's like so many in here flat out refuse to listen to Holmes when he speaks or ignore him. He's told is exactly what he's gonna do since he walked in the door, but yall acting like he's gonna go get Brian burns. Lol

                              • I get what Holmes wants to do but they got really close last season. Getting Burns and a DB might have put them over the top. Just my opinion.
