Carlton Davis has been basically an average starting NFL CB for his career. Last year he was more average, previously was a bit above average.

I think that's an overpay for Davis both in money and draft picks. Hopefully I'm Wrong. The base salary is 14m. That can be moved around with a bonus or a signing.

Don't know where you are getting 20 milion from. sportrac says 14.352 million cap hit this year. Goes down to 8.052 million next year and can cut him after 2025 with no dead money

I think Davis can be better than mediocre. Last year was the outlier in coverage ability. They are betting on him rebounding and he was good in the last two months.
