      • It sucks that both Walker and Romeo got those Achilles injuries really early into their extensions.

I'm pretty convinced that Patricia's methods, such as they were, led to injuries. So many of his players had non-contact injuries. He was similarly known for implementing plans through meetings instead of through walk-thru. Man should not be hired to coach a peewee team.

I laughed when Philadelphia imploded when they hired that clown as their Defensive assistant, and then put him as Defensive Coordinator near the end of their regular season, which led to their implosion and giving the NFC East Division Title to Dallas, and also their playoff debacle against Tampa Bay.

            • I'm not going to defend Patricia, but both those injuries happened under Campbell.

              • Does the Walker release mean they may be keeping CJGJ? Or was there a good chance they move on without him too?

                • They may want to bring CJGJ back... but I'm not convinced he'd be willing to come back as part of a safety rotation.

                  • I don't think the Walker release has anything to do with CJGJ. It was a cut that had to be made because he was making way too much money to be a backup. Walker still has aspirations to be a starter somewhere and there probably was no chance that they were going to come to an agreement to cut his pay like they did with Vataii and Okwara last year.

That is very possible but it sure feels like the team is very thin at safety...im sure there are cheaper options and that might be what they might want to pursue....Branch can fill in but I think they really like him at the slot and dont want to go that route.

Seems like an good situation for a player still recovering from an injury. He gets paid and gets to limit his workload. But I agree that his ego might have a hard time with it.

                            • Bummer that Bly didn't work out. Hard to argue, though, that the DBs and DL both regressed under the new coaches this season. The DL in particular seemed like it underperformed its talent.

Bly had his shot, and it didn't work out.

He'll need to go to another team and work on his teaching skills, because they didn't work in Detroit.
