  • Chemistry is overrated in the sense that if you don't have talent, the team chemistry isn't going to lead to too many wins.

(The 2008 Lions, for example, played hard, never gave up, etc. and went 0-16. The team really didn't start cracking visibly until the next season.)

That said, talent without chemistry has flamed out so many times that I could write a book about champions on paper that never manifested.

There's a balance a team has to maintain, and it's not always the same key to every player or every team. The Pats, for example, were experts at finding "toxic" "team cancers" that were really just tired of losing and dealing with inept coaches and imbeciles in the front office.

          • They can't even get the fuckin date right. And they were there on the sidelines! They were there and they dont know the correct date. Of when they were there. And again we see they make notes which are incorrect and continue to use their own incorrect notes as a source instead of doing due diligence and looking shit up and double checking.

I dunno. Maybe the 2008 Lions started actually trying when he who shall not be named was fired. But as I recall their effort the game prior to that was puke garbage. The score didnt entirely indicate it, something like 31-13, but @SF week 3 of 2008 really pissed me the fuck off.

Jalen Carter still put up pro bowl numbers. The kid is better than I thought he’d be but I wouldn’t change anything about our draft class. Theyre awesome and exactly what we need. By this tkme
of year Swift would have been on the shelf had he played for the Lions

                      Their grammar is terrible, too.

Yeah, must've originally read as "Detroit has just beaten..." but they changed it out to the Lions without changing anything else. I see shit like that. All. The. Time. I will write for the Lions for free and actually proofread my stuff before publishing. Gimme them credentials I'll fly my own ass out there on my own dime too.
