Okay, went to YouTube and foudn this
Summary of the little streaming clip here. This guys says that the compensation (ie what goes to the Bucs for Evans) has been agreed to. It would be a 3rd and 5th rounder in the 24 draft. The 5th rounder could become a 4th rounder if Evans makes the Pro Bowl this year for the Lions. There is another draft pick the guy speculates it is a future (not 24) 6th or 7th rounder.
Now, the hangup is the extension. Holmes is offering 2 years and Evans group is wanting 4 years.
This guy also says that his Bucs and Lions sources (talked seperately without mentioning what he has heard) confirm the terms have been agreed to and they also confirm the holdup is the length of the extension. Skeptical about what the Lions will get out of Marvin Jones this season. So yes, Mike Evans could certainly be an upgrade when it comes to that production. I don’t really believe the Lions are in play for this trade based on the sources. Gotta see it to believe it. At the same time, sure, it hypothetically sounds nice.
Did anyone find out why Buggs was playing late in the preseason 3 game? Very bizarre.

ANother player the Lions have been linked to recently: Chris Jones....Yes hes a great DT but can they afford him? He wants around 32M per year and 4 years......Not only that but KC would want at least 1 first and possible more...He isnt a spring chicken either at 29 years years old.Comment

A 3 and 5 (that could be a 4) even giving up a future 6 or 7. Absolutely down with that.

I can see why the Lions want to do extend only 2 years. That would put him with Cam Sutton or maybe no one that would be a major guys that have to be resigned.
