Sewell has also demonstrated he can play both Tackle positions at a Pro-Bowl level as well. There is a lot of high-level flexibility on that line, which is something that you normally haven't been able to say about the Lions trenches.

I hope the OL kid we drafted ends up being better than Olu Oluwatimi. Olu was an absolute monster on that Michigan OL. They passed on him for Sorsdal so they must have saw something good in himF#*K OHIO!!!

So far with preseason, despite it looking ugly, I think there's minimal reason to be concerned because 90% of the struggles was QB and O-line. On an NFL team, barring injury, all depth players get play time *except* QB and O-line. And we have a good backup QB now, and we have a good 6th OL who simply wasn't in the games.
I think the depth at D-line and linebacker is great. The starters in the secondary should be good. The secondary depth is probably the main issue with this team."Yeah, we just... we don't want them to go. So that's our motivation."

Brian Branch was a draft community consensus top 20 prospect. He fell in the draft due to what… a combination of positional value (NCB/ safety), average athleticism score, and luck. Glad the Lions are the beneficiary here.
