I’m sure most of you have watched Inside the Den episode 3, but just in case. Posting below. Fantastic review of the 2023 Lions draft class. My favorite part was the Brian Branch trade/ being drafted section.

Im guessing they edit some things out...You'd think they never lost out on a player ever after watching that.....I wanted to see the reaction when Witherspoon was taken at 5....or the debate as to whether to take Jalen Carter or not......Bijan Robinson, I never heard his name mentioned...Were they gambling that he might make it to 12?.....Even so, it is amazing we get to see inside a draft war room like that.

First off, Branch’s change of direction and fluidity at 53:15 is unreal. He’s going to be great

Secondly, someone needs to tell Holmes to take it easy on the senior Citizens after he makes a pick. I thought he was going to physically hurt Rod Wood a few time. He’s going to break

When is the AAL thread coming up or do we not do that anymore? I know it's silly but I'm at the "kick the damn ball" phase. I always disappear in the offseason so I won't feel right making the thread myself. My first AAL caught Stafford's first playoff TD BTW.

July is almost over,.that sucks balls, before you know it will be dead of winter where the sun sets at 4:30. But the NFL is starting so that is a silver lining.

I'm excited to see Starling Thomas in the preseason games. So far it sounds like he is a keeper. That would be nice to see a good UDFA catch on.

Eh, I'm an educator. I've had one session in over a month. Lol. Would be nice if the NFL season didn't start the same time as the school year but oh well.

It depends on what latitude you are at and Michigan is at the end of the time zone. If you are up in the Keewanau peninsula in the UP in July it is still light out well after 10 PM, but during the winter the dark comes even quicker.

In the 40 plus years I’ve been following this team, I’ve never seen a lions coaching staff have the ability (and the willingness) to develop rookies and then plug them into meaningful roles.

Whether it was Mooch with his infamous “I hate rookies” speech to any number of coaches who decided to overpay old guys who used to play for them rather than developing young players themselves…
