#1 Unquestioned Starter
#2 Experienced Backup
#3 Developmental

Sudfeld doesn't fit. Bridgewater's perfect for that spot.

I think Bridgewater's main argument was when he went 5-0 with the Saints when he had to come in for the injured starter a couple of years ago....I dont remember him being al lthat spectacular in those 5 games, but the team did win.....He's better than Sudfeld but he'd be a one year stop gap at best...I dont think its a big deal whether they sign him or not.

If he’s better then any option they have now then he’s worth it for one year.
This year is a very important year for this whole franchise. Any upgrade is good.
Lions have opportunity to fulfill some expectations and don’t need any excuses, like a bad backup QB, to be in their way.
This front office has worked this way so far and I don’t think this position will be any different.

I’d feel much better with Bridgewater but will he be worth 10 mil a season? That could be rolled over into Jonah Jackson or St Brown’s extension.

He made 6.5m last year…he’s asking for 10 because he wants 7.5.

Thats a ton of jack for a guy that everyone hopes isn’t going to play. That being said, good backup QBs are like guns…better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

It would lower the amount that we can roll over to 2024... although there is a max amount that can be rolled over so it's possible that the FO wouldn't have to dig into that. What I do know is we have some cushion at the moment.

We’re around 19 mil right now available but who knows what that number looks like after cuts and additions throughout training camp.

They’ll use some up throughout the season but if they can squirrel away 7-8 mil it’ll help us lighten the load for one of those extensions. 10 would be amazing but I think this front office believes and they’re going to make the moves for a run

At the very least, Sewell and St. Brown contract extensions are coming in 12 months based on recent NFL news. Goff, Houston… there could be more in play.

Particularly with how it’s sounding like St. Brown looks like 2021 Cooper Kupp in Lions training camp so far. Expanding his game for more deep, intermediate, and RAC opportunities.

It sounds like TK hurt himself on an unbelievable catch. Tough break as he was doing good in the practices. He is considerably better than those guys Cody listed.

We'll see him back, he has a lifetime pass on the Cason Cruiser.
