    • Wow!! That's so awesome. This is complete crazy town that the Lions are in this kind of demand. I hope they deliver because our fans deserve this after all this time.
      F#*K OHIO!!!

You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.

      • Yeah, hope Lucy keeps the ball in place.
If the Lions win a superbowl I want a meme of Sheila holding the ball and smiling when the foot makes contact.
Actually I will make t shirts and become an instant millionaire 😊

        • The Lions are swapping late round picks in 2025 to the New York Jets for Denzel Mims

With training camp just days away, the Detroit Lions have traded for Denzel Mims, adding some size and speed to the wide receiver group.

It's a good "low cost" trade for a guy who might still have some untapped potential.

            • Still remember watching that undefeated Matt Rhule led Baylor vs Oklahoma game a few years ago. Mims balled out and caught my attention. Obviously hasn’t done much at all in the NFL, but such a low cost to give Mims one last shot. That WR5 spot on opening day is available for any takers that truly earn it.

              • Wow! Thats a fantastic trade for the Lions. Low risk contract that provides high upside especially while Williams is suspended. You can’t beat that move.

                  • Lions trade a conditional 6th to the jets for Denzel Mims

I almost posted yesterday that I thought the lions should take a flier on this kid. Kind of the same type as chark…big body and a sub 4.4 40.

                    • Any details about the conditional part of the trade yet?

Yeah… some poor man’s Chark vibes here.
It’s the classic sports move to take a low risk on a player drafted highly. Perceived to have some talent there based on draft expectations. Sometimes it works out like Charles Harris in 2021. It doesn’t work most of the time. Low cost, so who cares if Mims doesn’t make the roster. It’s only a $1.7M/ 1 year cap hit. The depth and competition is now a little stronger.

                      • Given the low compensation...he probably only needs to make the team for the pick swap to happen.

And if we do send the 6th we're going to get a 7th back in '25. This is as close to free as it gets

Basically, if the condition triggers (we're not sure specifically what the condition is, but Nick's educated guess is probably correct) the Lions will give their 6th round pick in exchange for NY's 7th.

It's such a low cost flyer that Holmes's might have been an idiot not to take a shot.

                            • The Detroit Lions, who were sitting with 92 players on the active roster, have made a decision regarding their placekicker.

                              According to NFL Network, the
team has decided to part ways with kicker Michael Badgley.

New kicker John Parker Romo acclimated himself well when the team brought him in, showcasing a booming foot during the portion of OTA practices that were open to the media and local reporters.

“The additional year of eligibility was a blessing for me,” Parko Romo explained about his extra year of college eligibility, granted due to the pandemic, via
The Gridiron Crew. “It allowed me to be the field goal and kickoff starter from the beginning of the season to the end. It was my only season to show my capabilities as the starting kicker. I didn’t have the start to the season that I had hoped for, but I am grateful for my coaches and teammates by continuing to believe in me and finishing the season as an All-ACC kicker.”

Badgley went 24-for-28 on field goal attempts and even earned Special Teams Player of the Week after in Detroit's Week 13 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars last season.

                              The
battle will now come down to Parker Romo and Riley Patterson, who returned to Detroit after a stint with the Jaguars.

                              Currently, the
Lions have 91 players on their roster.

                              • Detroit Lions (second stint)
Following his announced release from Jacksonville on May 25, 2023, Patterson was traded to the Detroit Lions in exchange for an undisclosed draft pick.
Um...if he was released why did they have to trade for him?

                                Ah, this explains it
