  • They have enough free cap space for the draft picks, two gloves(or someone similar),.the practice squad and space to maneuver during the season. They probably don't have to restructure anybody this year during the season to get through the season.

Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

          • It looked like Okudah was getting phased out the plans. Unfortunate though, wish him well.

for a real long time. I’m not sure what that hell happened besides Fatty Patty.

I had gigantic hopes for him this season.
Why would you have "gigantic" hopes for Okudah this year? He was benched at the end of last season and there was absolutely no rush to sign his 5th year. Then the Lion's first priority in FA was CB. It seemed pretty clear the Lions org had no hope for him and were moving on.

BTW, does this cement Quinn as the worst GM in Lions history? Considering the competition, just raising the question says a lot about how terrible Quinn was.

Because this is Year 2 coming off an Achilles.
Year 1 is always a wash - you get whatever you can get in Year 1 - and be glad you got that.

If this happened a year earlier, they'd have the luxury to ride it out.
                Timing is a bitch.

I think if he was a 1-2M a year player, he would still be on the team....but at 10+M and having to decide whether to give him that 5th year, it was just easier to move on....he wasnt worth the money the team was having to pay him to see if he MIGHT turn into a starting caliber corner.

                  • I wonder what that extra 5th round pick can get in a trade. Can they turn their two picks in the fifth into one in the fourth?

But instead, he probably going to ask for #1 like a college WR Diva would (not counting the Twitter post as official). He's pretty young so I am not going to worked up over it, but it is a little disappointing.

Move like what? Asking for a different number?

Jesus. People sure are looking for reasons to dislike this kid.
