  • For the second straight day, the Lions have added a free agent cornerback. This time it’s Emmanuel Moseley, who has agreed to a one-year contract with the Lions, his agents told Adam Schefter of ESPN.The 26-year-old Moseley signed with the 49ers as an undrafted rookie in 2018 and has spent his entire career in San Francisco. • John Cominsky and Will Harris re-signed too.

Now if the Lions can get Jamaal back, I’m good with free agency.

      • I wonder if the Harris contract is the 4 year qualifying contract. That's where you can sign a player to up to 1.35 million over the minimum salary base but it only counts as the vet minimum against the cap.

          • I don't know think the Moseley contract is going to be cheap, it isn't going to be 4 years 64 million as the spotrac valuation suggested but it's going to be significant.
The Detroit Lions are adding more competition to the outside cornerback position in free agency.

            • To clarify, my current wishlist: Jamaal Williams, Josh Woods, backup QB, and kicker.

The Lions don’t have a backup QB or kicker signed I believe…

Maybe if the market is dry, Lions could get lucky with returning contracts for DJ Chark, Evan Brown, and DeShon Elliott. Don’t have to have them, but will take them!

Has he ever played next to him? I think V is more of a mentor then anything to Sewell.
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

                      • Yep. He has some good stats when he was healthy, but he's also playing on one of the best defenses in the league with one of the top pass rushes.

We knew they needed a couple of vet CBs and they went out and got a couple. Now draft the young guy that doesn't have to get thrown to the wolves right away if he's not ready.

He played next to him in his Sewell's rookie year. It looks like 7 games.

I was just about to post the same thing.

These are the kind of signings that make a team solid.

I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on

Yes sir. Most fans want the splashy type stuff but you never know how it will work. Most times your giving a guy money for his past performance.

Just be solid and continue to improve on the bottom of the roster (replace the worst players with good draft picks) making your floor higher and higher.
