Because it’s come up a lot in the chat and on social media, I asked Campbell if there was any consideration being given to playing nickel corner Amik Robertson on the outside, in place of Davis.

“We talked about it,” Campbell acknowledged. “It’s up for discussion. It’s hard to say, there again, on a walkthrough. …It’s hard to do that, but all things are on the table. It’s not like Amik’s never played outside. He can go out there and not bat an eye, and then you move (Emmanuel Moseley) E-man inside, which is great.


“We have all options on the table,” Campbell said. “We’re not afraid to play (Khalil) Dorsey with (Kindle) Vildor or whatever the case is. We’ve got options and we feel good about all of them.”

Robertson primarily played on the outside for the Raiders last season.

Amik has been balling all year. Seems like he deserves the extra playing time he'd get from moving outside. Not sure how he could be worse than Vildore.

I know they worked Eman at slot in training camp, but I'm not sure why they couldn't consider him on the outside. Isn't that where he played for SF?

I enjoyed the video James Houston made of when he was drafted...They had a party at his house with his family and it was really nice....I was cheering for the guy to succeed....Maybe he can carve out a niche somewhere else.

You have to actually have a stat to make the box score.

I was kind of being sarcastic when I said this but after looking over the box score I see Mosely and Dorsey listed without any stats. Last year I noticed Hutch not listed in a box score even though he played most defensive snaps that game. I assumed it was because he didn't record a recordable stat for the game.

Maybe my assumption was wrong or most of the defensive box scores being pretty basic on most sites like Yahoo sports etc. don't list things like 'pressures" or not getting "knocked on your asses". that might get you included in the box score.

Many box scores will list a WR that was targeted but otherwise recorded no stat, even if the box score itself isn't listing targets. And a WR who plays but isn't targeted isn't on the box score. So sometimes there are these back end stats or meta stats that put guys on there.
